Trent Hernandez

Intern Architect

Trent Hernandez has been part of Gasaway Gasaway Bankston for a year, bringing curiosity, creativity, and a thoughtful approach to design. His interest in architecture sparked early, while trying to build a fort with friends as a child, and that passion eventually led him to his Masters Degree of Architecture at Louisiana Tech University.

Trent’s design approach is deeply responsive. He believes every building should be shaped by its context, both the site conditions and the experience of its users. To him, the most important part of architecture is recognizing the power the built environment has on people’s daily lives and ensuring that his contributions add value. One of his proudest moments was in graduate school, where he developed a personal architectural manifesto and applied it to a challenging, unknown project location and program, an experience that pushed him to think critically about his design values.

Outside the office, Trent embraces a laid-back motto: “Don’t worry, be happy.” He enjoys playing disc golf, shooting pool, and spending time with family and friends. At home, life is kept lively with his girlfriend and their two dogs, Billy and Jean. Looking ahead, Trent’s bucket list dream is to one day own his own architecture firm, continuing to shape spaces that leave a lasting impact.
