Michelle Juneau

Interior Designer

For the past 18 years, Michelle has been the creative heartbeat behind GGB’s Interior Design department. Her path to design was anything but ordinary—though it was always in her DNA. Growing up surrounded by artists in her family’s downtown Hammond business, The Old Frame House, she was immersed in a world of creativity from the start. After beginning her studies in Interior Design at LSU, life took her on a detour to run the family business. But in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Michelle returned to her first love, design, and found her professional home at GGB, where she quickly transformed a draftsman role into leading a thriving interior design division.

Michelle describes herself as a “lover of all things design ”from interiors and architecture to art, fashion, and graphic design. Her approach starts with listening: uncovering what clients truly need, then weaving creativity and problem-solving into spaces that not only function but elevate a brand’s identity. Collaboration is her secret ingredient, she thrives on working hand-in-hand with clients, end-users, and her GGB team to bring ideas to life. Her proudest projects include redefining the brand identity of First Guaranty Bank through both new builds and remodels, working closely with their marketing team to ensure every detail told their story.

Beyond the office, Michelle lives a life that is just as artful as her work. Under the name Beautifully Broken Art, she creates sculptural pieces from driftwood and reclaimed materials (even featured in Inside Northside Magazine), designs hats and fascinators, paints, and collaborates with her husband— a metal fabricator—on custom furniture. Creativity fuels her soul, but giving back drives her heart: she’s a longtime supporter of local non-profits, donating her art to help fundraise for causes close to her community.Michelle’s passion for people and places extends to her many roles in professional and civic organizations, from the IIDA and NCIDQ to the Hammond Chamber of Commerce, Tangipahoa Parish Professional Women’s Organization, SLU Alumni Association, and more.

When she’s not designing or creating, you’ll likely find her enjoying weekends with family and friends at her summer home in Manchac, traveling, or collecting the perfect piece of driftwood for her next sculpture. At home, she’s happiest with her husband Brian, son Brody (a firefighter), and their Schnauzer, Augie Blue.

Michelle’s life motto sums it up best: “Designing a beautiful life of faith, family, friends, and community.”
