Pearl River High School Renovations & Additions
The Pearl River High School project is a comprehensive 66,000-square-foot renovation and addition, thoughtfully designed to build upon the legacy of the original 1966 Classroom Building. Inspired by its response to site orientation, solar paths, fenestration, and architectural detailing, the design reinterprets these elements to create a cohesive yet modernized campus experience.
The project included extensive renovations across multiple buildings, enhancing functionality, infrastructure, and overall learning environments. Classroom Buildings 100 and 200 were upgraded with new lighting, data, power systems, and interior finishes. The library and Building 100 arts spaces were fully reimagined, with the removal of existing interior and exterior walls to create open, flexible environments. Additional improvements included the renovation of gym support areas, cafeteria, and band facilities, along with the expansion of the kitchen to better serve the student population.
A new central mall and entry sequence now connect six existing buildings, creating a dynamic, mixed-use circulation space that enhances campus flow and student interaction.
Constructed in phases on an occupied campus, the project required careful coordination to maintain daily operations while delivering a modern, unified environment that supports both academic and extracurricular excellence.
