Louisiana Workforce Commission Atrium
The Louisiana Workforce Commission atrium addition introduces a 3,915-square-foot, two-story glass structure that redefines the entry experience while unifying the existing campus. Positioned between two previously separate buildings, the atrium creates a clear and welcoming front door for the facility.
Designed as both a functional and architectural connector, the space houses a central security lobby, reception area, restrooms, and an elevated crosswalk—streamlining circulation and enhancing accessibility throughout the complex.
The use of transparent glass “tubes” bridges the distinct architectural styles of the adjacent buildings, creating a cohesive visual and spatial connection. This light-filled, modern addition not only improves daily operations but also establishes a refreshed identity for the Louisiana Workforce Commission—one that reflects openness, connectivity, and forward-thinking design.
